Let's dress in Halloween colors and meet at Trish's house for a craft party. Bring a Halloween type snack to pass and crafting/jewelry items to share/create with. We'll have Sleepy Hallow and The Nightmare Before Christmas playing while we craft and gab. Email or message me for my address/directions if you need them.

Business Meeting/Ice Cream Social

I was thinking of meeting on Sunday July 24th, 1pm, meet at Kellogg Park in Plymouth (that's the one with the fountain in the middle), then after we talk (have a short business meeting), plan some events and take some pictures, get ice cream at Cold Stone across the street? (or do the talking at Cold Stone depending on weather) We could do "Whatever costume you want" (so you can get some photos of one of your costumes that you don't currently have decent photos of in a nice setting) or maybe a "Retro Ice Cream Social" (Like DFWCG did).

I have an agenda for the business meeting if anyone would care to see it or have me add something to it, just leave a comment and I'll email it to you. 

World Steam Expo 2011

Thanks for meeting, those who could make it out to the show! We still have to figure out where we want our next meeting to be, and hopefully we can sit down over tea or something to talk a bit more. Here we see Chris, Trish, Maya, Jen & Kristie. Don't we all look so handsome in our finery?

World Steam Expo

So since about half of us who are interested in this group are going to the World Steam Expo, I thought we could meet on Saturday at about 2pm in the Lobby. Just get together and take pictures and gab. I'd like to talk about setting up the first get-together with everyone. Come by and say hi! I (Trish) will be wearing my oversized top hat and a bustle. Hopefully I'll be hard to miss.

Looking for meeting site & date

Hi everyone! I've been looking for a park (or someplace) to have a little costumed "Get to Know You" get-together (thanks for the great suggestion Kristie!) where we could meet up in costume (whichever one we wanted to wear), maybe have a picnic, take pictures (Really, who doesn't need more beautiful pictures of their costumes?), and discuss what it is we'd like to do.
I was hoping to go out at the beginning of this week to scope out parks, but between the rain and a screw in my tire yesterday, I don't know if I'll get to.
So, any suggestion on parks or other venues we could go to that may have neat places for photos?
I was thinking of perhaps a metropark (I'm a little gun-shy of Kensington since something goes wrong every time I try to go there, but I'd give it a try) or Elizabeth Park (may be a little far for some, but is GORGEOUS),  or Maybury State Park (I haven't been there before, but it seems kind of in the middle-ish). These aren't the only options, but they were ones I came up with. Please leave suggestions here, or at the facebook page.

New Group Looking for Members

The League of Mode Revolutionaries is a new group to South-Eastern Michigan. We are looking for members who enjoy costuming, want to dress up, & have little theme parties. We want to set up an online presence so we can get together, dress up and have fun!
